International & direct orders
Amazon covers Australia and the US. For everywhere else, order direct from the workshop. Fill this in and Peter will email you the price, freight to your address and a PayPal invoice. Paying by card as a PayPal guest is fine, no account needed. No payment is taken on this form.
Shipping & terms
How direct orders ship
- We quote freight by address, then send a PayPal invoice covering the cracker and freight. You can pay by card as a guest.
- Standard air freight usually takes two to four weeks. As soon as it ships, we email you a tracking number.
- Check your PayPal address. Make sure the default shipping address on your PayPal is where you want it sent, or tell us in the order notes. If a wrong or out-of-date address causes a delay or a loss, we cannot refund unless the parcel is returned to us.
- Ordering several for one address? Say so in the form and we will quote the lot.

This is a guide only. We confirm the exact figure when we quote your address. Amounts are in Australian dollars, per unit, added to the price of the cracker.

Our promise
It should crack 50,000 nuts without any repair or maintenance, or we will send you another one. (You will need to prove how many nuts you have actually cracked.) Jokes aside, it should last for years if it is cared for and kept out of the weather.
Two things have gone wrong over the years. The rubber cup came unglued once (the glue stays slightly flexible, so it was easy to press back in), and some strike plates came loose in early testing. We have since upgraded how the plates are fitted. If you have a real fault, tell us and we will make it right.
Terms, in plain English
- It is natural timber. Colour and grain vary, and hand-making can leave small tool marks or a slightly dry patch. These are not faults. A cracker that will not crack nuts is.
- Small parts. If the pin is unscrewed completely, the stainless nut and spring come out. They are a choking risk for children. Keep the cracker away from kids; it is a tool, not a toy.
- Adults only, used sensibly. Use it with your attention on the job. Not while driving, flying, or when impaired by alcohol, drugs or medication. We cannot accept responsibility for injury caused by misuse.
- Your rights. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that cannot be excluded.
- Amazon orders are covered by Amazon's own returns policy as well.
Privacy
What our forms store, and why:
- Email signup: your email, optional first name, the page you signed up on, your country (guessed by your browser language, never by IP) and the exact consent text you ticked. We use it to send macadamia tips and new-batch alerts. Unsubscribe any time by emailing us.
- Message form: your email, name and message are emailed to Peter so he can reply.
- Order form: your name, address, email and phone are stored so we can quote, invoice and ship. We keep order records for tax purposes.
- Page clicks: we count button clicks (page, button, country) with no cookies, no IP address and no ad tracking.
- We do not sell or share your details. Ask us to see or delete them any time: peter@maccawakka.com.
